Hey guys! Mom’s been super busy the past few weeks with home repairs and getting the human kids back to school so here’s a quick update on everyone and then she’s going to do an update post about the kitten with the injured eye (it’s great news)! Over to Mom ➡️
Halo- on the radiograph you’ll see an enlarged space between her vertebrae where there is a mass. This was discovered when she was having some trouble standing up with her hind legs. As sudden as symptoms started, they disappeared so we’re keeping an eye on things before we put her through the stress of an MRI/CT. It wouldn’t be operable & even if it was, it would be a rough recovery for a blind 12yr old dog with cognitive decline with no guarantee that she’d get better and, a possibility she could come out worse. We’re thinking through options carefully on what is best for her.
Ginger - her recovery from bilateral ventral osteotomy was slow but she’s doing great….still the boss at 15yrs old!
Everyone else is doing great & we have a new unplanned addition (see other pics). We saved a field mouse at our shop who came out of a customer’s engine compartment. We decided rather than set it loose in a nearby field to give her a home. What we didn’t know until Thursday is she had a surprise (4 actually) for us (see other pics). 🐭🐭🐭🐭🐭
